Asfalt is a free street sports & urban culture festival organised by EYC, the City of Ghent and EventFlanders in collaboration with the agencies Fast Forward and LuckyTree.

Spectacular sports
to all things urban.
From 20 to 22 September 2024, people of all ages could enjoy spectacular activities: from the skateboarding world cup and a showcase by trial bike world champion Kenny Belaey to an international World Chase Tag competition. Asfalt took place at four different locations in Ghent: Blaarmeersen, the Groene Vallei park, the Rabotpark and Houtdok.
Fans of ‘all things urban’ were also catered for with all kinds of exhibitions, talks, live radio and workshops. Graffiti, tattoo design, yoga, slam poetry and spoken word were also discussed.

Organising such an extensive program requires experienced boots on the ground. At the request of Fast Forward and Lucky Tree, we supported the new city festival with the production coordination of the pontoon on the Houtdok (World Chase Tag), the activities in the Rabotpark and on the B401 during Car-free Sunday.
