What you do
In this role, you will take full charge of projects: from briefing and preparation to implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
You will translate client requirements, creative concepts and technical needs into feasible project plans, budgets, timelines and workable productions. You will manage in-house teams, freelancers, suppliers and production partners, ensuring that everyone is clear about what needs to be done, when and for what purpose.
You will be the central point of contact for clients and stakeholders, monitoring scope, quality, budget and profitability, and taking ownership of the end result, both behind the scenes and on the ground.
Your responsibilities will include, amongst other things:
- Managing projects from start to finish: from briefing, planning and preparation to implementation and evaluation
- Translating client requirements, creative concepts and technical issues into feasible project plans
- Drawing up, managing and monitoring budgets, cost estimates, timings and deadlines
- Preparing and following up on quotations in collaboration with the sales team
- Managing and coordinating internal teams, freelancers, suppliers and production partners
- Preparing and monitoring production files, storyboards, schedules and technical specifications
- Monitoring scope, quality, margins and profitability
- Anticipating risks, bottlenecks and changes, and proactively proposing solutions
- Negotiating with partners and suppliers to ensure high-quality and cost-effective solutions
- Taking operational responsibility during set-up, execution and dismantling, even under time pressure
- Organising post-project evaluations and reporting
- Contributing ideas for improvements to project approach, processes and collaboration
Who you are
- You have at least 5 years’ relevant experience within the events, production, cultural or artistic sector and have a proven track record of independently managing complex projects
- You demonstrate natural leadership and are able to guide a project team
- You feel at ease in international project environments involving various stakeholders, suppliers and partners
- You are able to collaborate with people from different backgrounds whilst providing clear direction where necessary
- You can manage budgets, schedules, scope and teams independently
- You work in a structured manner and are familiar with budget management, planning tools and project administration
- You combine strategic insight with operational drive
- You communicate clearly, professionally and in a solution-oriented manner with clients, teams and suppliers
- You maintain an overview, even when multiple projects are running simultaneously
- You excel at organisation, planning and setting priorities
- You think ahead, identify risks in good time and come up with concrete solutions
- You are resilient under pressure, hands-on and take responsibility
- You have an eye for quality, detail, customer experience and profitability
- You are flexible: occasional evening and weekend work is part of the job
- You speak and write Dutch and English fluently; French is a strong plus
